Out For Lunch

Just for a change we didn’t go away at the weekend. Actually it was a nice change to just relax a little. On the Saturday Elder Saunders needed to fix a lock on one of the missionaries internal flats. Elder Lybbert asked if I was coming as well and invited us for lunch. They were going to make homemade pizzas, delicious. I explained how fussy my husband was and told them not to worry about him as he will bring his own lunch. So off we trotted for our first missionary cooked meal. We arrived just as they were coming back from a service project. Elder Saunders fitted the lock while Elder Lybbert and Elder Hawkins prepared our lunch. They had changed the menu to something my fussy husband could eat. Chicken wraps plus lots of salad and cheese for us more normal eaters. That was a delicious lunch and we had a great time chatting to them. Although Elder Lybbert said would I like to know what his first impression of me was. WHAT!!!!!!!! I allowed him to embarrass me so I might as well share it with you. We were in Gisborne moving the Belliston’s new furniture into the Zone Leaders Garage, also we had some things in the back of our car. Elder Lybbert looked in the back of the car and found some rope, he asked what the rope was for and I immediately replied “It’s to hang myself if I get bored”. He thought we have a crazy woman here. Well things could only improve from then on.
